Gwarighat (Jabalpur)



Gwarighat, a beautiful ghat located at the bank of river Narmada near the city of Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. The Narmada river is the fifth longest river in Indian subcontinent. Its huge contibution to Madhya Pradesh, makes it the "Life Line" of Madhya Pradesh.

Bargi Dam


Narmada river is the largest river in the Madhya Pradesh flowing towards the west and falling in the Arabian sea.Bragi Dam is one of the first completed dam o the Narmada river in Madhya Pradesh.Bargi Dam and Avantibai Lodhi Sagar are the two major irrigation projects.The total length of Narmada river is 1312 km.
The Dam construction work started in 1974 and was completed in 1990.Currently only 90 MW is being generated in Hydropower Generation plant.The height of the Dam is 69 m and the length 5.4 km.A lake of about 75 km in length and 4.5 km width.

1.Nohsngithiang Waterfall

                             

Nohsngithiang falls also known as the seven sisters waterfalls or Mawsmai falls,these falls have seven streams falling from the same source resulting in a truly wonderful waterfall.It is a seven segmented waterfall located 1 kilometre south of Mawsmai village in East Khasi Hills district in the Indian state of Meghalaya.The fall measure 315 metres and has an average width of 70 metres making it one of the tallest waterfalls in India.The best time to visit during sun rise and sunset when the falls looks more stunning.







Longest Natural Urban Beach- Marina Beach(Chennai)


Marina Beach is the longest beach in India.It is covered with glittering golden  sand and a clear strip of blue sea and is among the most magnificent beaches in India.It is a natural urban beach in the city of chennai,along the Bay of Bengal part of the Indian ocean.It is the longest natural urban beach in the country and the world's eleventh longest.The beach runs from near Fort St. George in the north to Besant Nagar in the south a distance of 13km.The average width of the beach is 300m.Bathing and swimming at the Marina Beach are legally prohibited beacuse of the dangers as the undercurrent is very turbulent.It is the most crowded beach in the country and attracts about 30,000 visitors a day during weekends.

Darjeeling:' Dream- Land of the East '


 
Darjeeling ,the queen of all Hill stations and also the 'Dream-Land of the East'.It is famous for its natural beauty,fresh air,pleasant weather and above all and the famous Darjeeling Tea.Darjeeling is one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world.The name Darjeeling is derived from the Tibetan word 'Dorje' which means the precious stone.The town and hill station of Darjeeling in northern West Bengal ,India.It is located in the Mahabharat Range or Lesser Himalaya at an elevation of 7100ft.Every year at the start of summer the Viceroys of India would move to Darjeeling.Covering an area of 1200sq miles and surrounded by the Himalaya peaks,its a fascinating place rich in natural beauty.Some of the most beautiful tea estates are here.The Kanchenjunga peak can be seen from the town.

The Egyptian Museum of Cairo



  • The world's most extensive collection of pharaonic antiquities' The Egyptian Museum' in Cairo.No trip is complete to visit the museum.In the 19th century the original collection was established under Auguste Mariette and housed in Boulaq.
  • Approximately 1,60,000 objects covering 5,000 years of Egypt's past in the museum houses.The majority of the collection focused on the pharaonic era.
  • There are two main floors in the museum the ground floor and the first floor.The ground floor takes the visitor on a chronological tour through the collection.On the upper floor are grouped according to tomb or category.
  • The treasures of TutanKhamun,wooden models of daily life,statuettes of divinities and a rare groupFaiyum Portraits.On the second floor are many of the New Kingdom royal mummies..

    UPPER LAKE

    It is the biggest lake in the Madhya Pradesh region.Upper Lake lies on the western side of the capital city of Madhya Pradesh ,Bhopal.Bhopal is named as the 'The City of Lakes'.The two beautiful lakes' Upper Lake'  and 'Lower Lake'.They are considered as a major source of drinkable water for the residents of the city.
    These two lakes are separated from each other by an over bridge called Pul Pukhta.It is locally known as Bada Talaab.In hindi is known as' Bhojtal'



    Citadel of Qaitbay

    The Fort of Qaitbay or the Citadel of Qaitbay is situated on the eastern side of the northen tip of Pharos island at the mouth of the eastern harbour.It was erected on the exact side of the famous Lighthouse of Alexandria which was seven wonders of the ancient world.It was established by Sultan Al Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay.It is one of the most defensive strongholds not only in Egypt but also along the Mediterranean sea coast.The Lighthouse is continued to function until the time of Arab then several disasters happened and the shape of the lighthouse was changed to some extent,but it still continue to function.During the 11th century an earthquake destroyed the top of the Lighthouse and the bottom was used as the watchtower.


    The city of Alexandria

    Alexandria is the second largest city in Egypt.It is also known as "Pearl Of Mediterranean".The founder of the Alenxandria is the Great Alexander in 331 BC. and became the capital of Graeco-Roman Egypt.It is also the centre of learning in the ancient world.The Catacombs of kom el-shouqafa,the underwater ruins of Montazah and Maamoura and the city's beautiful and awesome arts  scene make Alexandria's a great sightseeing destination.About 70 km the alexandria extends from the north -western side of the Neil delta to Mariout lake in the east.
