The Last remaining Wonder of the Ancient,The Great Pyramid of Giza.On the list of the Seven Wonder of the World ,The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest monument.It is the most famous and discussed structures in history.It is also known as' Pyramid of Khufu' or the 'Pyramid of cheops' is the oldest and the largest of the three Pyramids and the only one to remain largely intact.It's 756 feet long on each side,450 feet high and is composed of 2,300,000 blocks of stone each averaging 2 1/2 tons in weight.No side is more than 8 inches different in length than another and the whole structure is perfectly oriented to the points of the compass.It is the tallest building in the world in the 19th century and at the age of 4500 years.It remains the most massive building on Earth.It is the Great Pyramid of Khufu at Giza,Egypt.It was believed that the pyramid was built as a tomb over a 10-20 year period.Initially at 146.5m(481feet) .The Great Pyramid was covered by casing stone that formed a smooth outer surface.Pharaoh Khufu began the first Giza pyramid project,2550BC.His Great Pyramid is the largest in Giza.Khufu son's Pharaoh Khafre built the second Pyramid 2520 BCThe third of the pyramid is considerably smaller than the two built by Pharaoh Menkaure2490 BC.

Each massive pyramid is but one part of a larger complex,including a palace,temples,solar boat pits and other features.Tomb art includes depictions of ancient farmers working their fields and tending livestock,fishing and fowling,carpentry.The interior temperature is constant and equals the average temperature of the earth 20 degree celsius.It was originally covered with casing stones(made of highly polished limestone).These casing stones reflected the sun's light and made the pyramis shine like jewel.It has been calculated that the original pyramid with its casing stones would act like gigantic mirrors and reflect light so powerful that it would be visible from the moon as a shining star on Earth.

Appropriately .the ancient Egyptians called the "Great Pyramid" "Ikhet" meaning the "Glorious Light".The Great Pyramid is located at the center of the land mass of the earth.The four faces of the pyramid are slightly concave,the only pyramid to have been built this way.The Great pyramid had a swivel door entrance at one time.Swivel doors were found in only two other pyramids :Khufu's father and grandfather.Khufu's Pyramid Known as the Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest.Archaeologists say it was the tallest structure in the world.
