Ras el bar beach is very beautiful beach.It means "Head of Head".It is located at Mediterranean sea at the mouth of the Damietta river,a distributary of the neil river.It is a resort city in the northeast egypt.About  25,000 permanent residents in the city.From july to september the summer season it is a holiday season ,the population increases 2,00,000.Ras el bar has been called many names since Pharaohs.The Pharaohs called it Mediterranean sea and then Romans called it "The Romans Sea".The beautiful spot where sea could meet a river was called "Be Tamosh" and it is the place between two waves or two seas.




                            



Ras el bar name came from some sailors who felt that this place can be the shelter from the sea dangerous.The meaning of "Ras" is the start and the "El Bar" is the land so that it is the start of land and the sheltor of any sailor.In the Quran this place was mentioned.Ras el bar beach to be a sandy beach.Especially in noon times these sands believed to have a great medical benifits.



                           

Many dolphins visit Ras El bar shores and wild birds actually live in Manzala Lake.It is lies in a peninsula on the coast of the Mediterranean seaIt is the point where Damietta Nile arm flows in the Mediterranean sea which gives Ras el bar the shape of triangle

                            
                            
                           
                           
                            
                            

 The climate of Ras El Bar is very similar to Damietta an a high percentage of iodine.It is classified as hot desert.Alexandria.Damietta,Ras El Bar have the least temperature variation in Egypt.It is one of the rare points where a river meets the sea and great advantage which is having shores that overlook both the Nile and sea.The unique meeting of both the Nile and sea left sand .
